If you have a DAB Pump and its above your water tank (ie it's drawing water from below) you will need this to prime your pump otherwise the water will just p1ss down from the top of the prime hole and into your tank...! You may also want to add this between your pump and your first dripper to stop any backflow if you're not using a solenoid, or to not have to wait to charge your line with each irrigation event.
