The ballasts can also be easily adjusted to reduce the output of the lamp when not as much power is needed. So when running a 1000W lamp users can reduce the output to 400w or 600w. Alternatively, increase it to super lumen 1150W to give plants a healthy boost. 

The Omega 1000W Digital Dimmable Ballast runs fairly cool in use, however, users should still place it on a flat surface. To use, simply connect the input lead of your to the output lead of the ballast. Use the power-output switch to select the desired output wattage.
